First use of camera and editing skills

FIRST USE OF CAMERA:

The first time I used a camera I found the skills pretty easy. Most things were simple and easy to do. I learnt the skills I will need for the preliminary and main tasks on  a handheld camcorder that also could take pictures. I believe this made it easier as it was small and had bigger more clearer buttons.
What we did:
When given the camera we were tasked with taking several different shots around the school. we were told to select 6-7 off the list. We chose to take a shot of the following places ...
  1. a 10 second long shot of a person walking down the hall
  2. a point of view shot of the table tennis tables
  3. a shot of a office door
  4. a handheld shaky shot
  5. a shot of signpost
  6. a low angle shot of someone walking up the stairs
  7. a high angle shot of someone walking up the stairs
  8. a zoom in on a TV screen
FIRST USE OF EDITING PROGRAM:

After taking the shots I came back to the class room and imported the clips from an SD card onto my computer. I then decided to edit it. I used the program Serif MoviePlus X6. Firstly, when I opened the program I chose to create a new project. This opened up a blank timeline. Then I imported all of the clips from my documents. this caused the clips to come up in a box on the screen. I then selected them all and dragged them to the timeline. this made my video however it was not edited. I then change the order of my clips as well as adding a caption and a text clip. I then added special effects and changed the lighting on the different clips. finally, I made the transitions between clips animations.
