Protagonist Costume

These are the night dresses that my group like the best. We really enjoyed the pink nightdress due tot the multiple layers and the shade of pink. It also includes a pink ribbon that my group really wanted to include in our Protagonist costume. We also thought that this shade of pink would provide an innocence to our protagonist that we wanted. We wanted our protagonist to be vulnerable as the character itself will be played by a Caucasian female hopefully blonde. If the protagonist is wearing this shade of blonde it will go with the stereotype that she is vulnerable and powerless. We liked the white night dress because of the collar, buttons and the sleeves. The overall design was very Victorian but the elements of the collar buttons and sleeve was something that we wanted to include for our protagonist. This is because we have seen this style of sleepwear in many blockbuster films, the night dress added to the movies as it created a mystical and magical tone as it takes the audience into a different time. This is why my group wanted to include the elements of the buttons, collar and sleeves.
This is a design hat we created for protagonist based on our research. We didn't include any of the features of the white night dress even though we really liked it. This is because after careful consideration we decided we should choose a costume not because it has been used in loads of other big movies, we decided that we should be different and choose a costume that best fits our task. So, in our design we included the pink bow from the pink night dress that we found in our research. We also decided to go sleeveless and have white lace around the collar to still give it an Victorian look; as we did enjoy the style of the white night dress.
This is the Costume that we will be using for our protagonist. This costume was based on our design and our group has finally come to the decision that the costume is the best for our protagonist.
